About
Faculty of Engineering & Technology prepares the students to become Engineers who can be leaders in their profession with vision, zeal, passion, confidence and with excellent knowledge and necessary skills to succeed. The Faculty under the banner of U. V. Patel College of Engineering (UVPCE), established in 1997 with the approval of AICTE, has emerged as a premier self-financed Engineering Institute. It offers programs in specialized fields such as Marine, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Computer Science & Engineering (in collaboration with IBM), with specialization such as Cloud Based Computing, Mobile Applications and Big data & Analytics, besides other B.Tech programs in core branches. Also a constituent institute under the banner of Institute of Technology has initiated an innovative, 6 year dual degree Diploma-Degree Program.
Pioneering Initiatives
  • B.Tech. in Marine Engineering approved by Directorate General of Shipping (Ministry of Shipping), Govt. of India.
  • Full-fledged Ship-in-Campus and Engine Simulator for in-house practical and hands on training for Marine Engineering.
  • Offering unique pre sea courses like G.P. Rating, GME Course, Electro Technical Officer (ETO) & other D.G. shipping approved courses.
  • B. Tech (Computer Science & Business System) in collaboration with TCS
  • B.Tech (CSE) in Cloud-Based Applications, Big Data and Analytics and Cyber
  • Security in active collaboration with IBM.
  • 6-years dual-degree Diploma-Degree Programme.

  • B. S. Patel Polytechnic, established in 1999 with approval of AICTE, is the first selffinanced Engineering Institute in North Gujarat, imparting High-tech Diploma Courses in Engineering.

Key Achievements
U. V. Patel College of Engineering has been awarded for Excellence in Research Activities for betterment of Education, Society and Nation by Government of Gujarat at Grand Education Fair on 2nd February, 2018. Bestowed a Diamond Award under the category ‘Best Industry-Academia Initiative by Academic Institute’ in the 8th GESIA Annual Awards - 2015 held on 13th March 2015 at Ahmedabad as a recognition of an active association with eInfochips.

I welcome all the stakeholders – Students, Parents and Industries, to strengthen our hands and support us in our mission of “Vidhya Samajo-Utkarsh”. We, faculty and staff of UVPCE, are committed to fulfilling dreams and aspirations of young students who are joining the Institute to become Engineers. We believe Engineers are makers of history. The ideal engineer is neither a scientist nor a mathematician but he/she may use the knowledge and techniques of any or all of these disciplines in solving engineering problems for the benefits of society. 

Engineering means applied to science. Engineers are problem solvers; they are creators of basic utilities and facilities for the society, businesses, Governments or military. Engineers may involve in planning, design, fabrication, construction, erection, commissioning and testing of industrial plant, machinery, power plants, bridges, airports or dam, water supply scheme, water or wastewater treatment plant or telecommunication network, aircraft, ship, submarine or electronic appliances like T.V. radio, mobile phone, medical equipment or satellite, space shuttle, missile, etc. Just imagine, whatever you are using in day-to-day life, there is the involvement of engineers. 

So Dear Students, get ready to make your contribution in the task of Nation building by preparing yourselves to become Engineers who can be leaders in their profession with vision, zeal, passion, confidence and with excellent knowledge & necessary skills to succeed. We wish you have an exciting and life-changing experience of 4 years on the campus.
