Director General Awards For Student Achievements
The DG's medals will be awarded to the outstanding students who have made a distinguished contribution to the local or wider community, and/or brought exemplary recognition to Institute/ University, and achieved a high level of academic performance and scholarly work, as well as significant contributions to the profession, discipline, Institute and/or University and service to the community.
Eligibility:
DG's Medals are awarded in recognition of academic excellence together with exceptional achievements (Research, Sports, Innovation, Start-Ups etc) and Community Service From Each Faculty.
Nominations for the DG's Medal may be made by any staff member of the University, by another student or by a member of GUNI Alumni through the Executive Dean of Faculty Concerned.
Call For Nominations:
- The nominee clearly demonstrates a distinguished contribution to the University and / or the community which is above and beyond any requirements of their award of degree.
- The nominee has achieved a high level of academic performance. The student would generally need to achieve a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of no less than 6.5 to be considered.
- The nominee has completed at least half of their graduating program of study at GUNI.
- The nominee has not previously been awarded a DG's Medal.
- The nominee has not previously been awarded a DG's Medal.
Nomination: At the end of each Study Period, after results have been declared, the Executive Registrar will call for nominations of the DG's Award.
Procedure Of The Nomination:
- Online self-nomination form shall have to submit by aspiring students shared through link or by scanning given QR Code.
- Upon registering your email id through online form, a link shall be forwarded to your registered email id to fill further details in
nomination form. - Nominee shall have to furnish all details and upload all supporting documents in online form.
- After submitting nomination form, an automatically generated PDF Form shall be sent to your registered email id.
- Nominee shall have to take printout of the PDF Form and all other uploaded supporting documents to submit into hardcopy to the office of Principal / Executive Dean / Dean.
- The recommending committee consist of Principal, Executive Dean and Dean shall send their recommendation to the University.
Awards:
The Award will consist of Certificate (signed by DG) and cash amount of Rs. 10,000/-.
