ONE DAY ADVENTURE TREKKING AT TARANGA HILLS
Description
ONE DAY ADVENTURE
TREKKING AT TARANGA HILLS
Date: 4th September 2022
44
students from MBA semester III joined for this activity. Along with students,
two faculty coordinators from VMPIM, namely, Prof Dhara Jha and Ms Nirali
Rathod and two faculties from Sports and Cultural Dept-Mr Kalpesh Patel and Mr
Kinjal Patel joined the same. After reaching to the
base at Atri Ashram, students had an interaction with the trekking guide and
expert Mr Rajendrasinh Jadeja who is holding more than 40 years of experience
in his field as wild-life conservationist and an avid trekker. First phase of
the day was organized for jungle-trekking with rappelling exercise. While
following the trek the students were enlightened about the abundant treasures
the wild-life is offering to the mankind and the ecology of the Taranga and its
surroundings. All the students have experienced the thrill and adventure of
rappelling. After getting back to the base and having the lunch, the next phase
of trekking started. The participants headed for climbing Siddhasheela located
near the Taranga Jain Temple. The experience of trekking inculcated and
reintroduced several skills and virtues for the humankind. The students made
sure to not litter any rubbish while trekking. It also inculcated the
gratefulness and team-bonding sub-consciously among them. All and all, the
students trekked for almost ten kilometres in the span of two hours of
trekking. In their words, it was indeed one of the finest experiences that they
had in their time as a student at VMPIM.
