Description
This year the Institute of Computer Technology dedicated a couple of days to the celebration of the collaboration of the Institute and IBM Career Education. These days were organized to motivate the students to learn about the incorporation of programming and web designing in the new incentive technologies which are being implemented in new devices such as the IBM Expert Session on "BLOCKCHAIN". The aim of the celebration was to help the students to learn about how their subject knowledge.
Also on 16th Sept., there were various competitions were organized among the students, such as Technical Quiz, Hackathon, Code Connection, etc. to motivate them to learn about different aspects of their subjects.
150 students of B. Tech (Computer Science and Engineering) participated in these competitions of the IBM day.
On 15th Sept, IBM Expert Session was conducted by Mani Madhukar from IBM Executive Staff. He is a mentor to the Blockchain community in Bangalore supporting community sessions on IBM Blockchain/Hyperledger and IBM Cloud (https://www.meetup.com/Exploring-Blockchain- Bangalore-Meetup/). In his current role in the Ecosystem development team at IBM, he assists enterprises/startups/incubators in adopting to IBM technologies by conducting/mentoring enablement sessions and hackathons.
All the students were rewarded for the various competitions which were organized during the IBM day celebration, Students who were winners and participants in different events and festivals like Sports Fest 2017 and also for any external events.
