Management students come across various reports and projects preparation during their academic life. A skillful application of the MS-Office software package can lead them to better productivity. It is essential for the students to get equipped with the basic and advanced level skillset of MS Office package. To enhance their employability with hands-on experience of numerous hacks, tricks and short-cuts a workshop on Employability Essentials: Excel and Word Proficiency was organized at GUNI-VMPIM on September 1, 2023. Prof. Chinmay Baxi, Assistant Professor, GUNI-CMSR was invited as the resource person. He holds more than two decades of cumulative experience in the field of academia as well as industry. The key takeaway for the students include, formatting aspects in the MS Word covering indentation, line spacing, bullets, numbering, paragraphs, justification, header-footer and table of contents. The students were also walked through the basics and advanced usage of MS Excel such as use of various types of functions, import and export of data, VLookUp, Pivot Table among many other tools. Total 75 students attended and experienced the learnings.
