Dhaval’s Story

Dream BIG, Work hard and achieve it.
That’s the advice of a GUNI graduate who is now the founder of Karishiye Architects.
“From my childhood, I was interested in drawings and have drawn many designs. I was more curious than a studious student. I was quite curious to know how buildings, bridges, and roads are made. In my childhood, I used to build a castle from sand at the seashore. But now, I want to live a life where I can build real life castles. In this journey, I have faced many challenges and also learned to convert them into opportunities. Fortunately, I enrolled in Ganpat University for a bachelor of architecture course.”
“The five years I have spent in this university were a golden period of my life. “I would go to Ganpat University 100 times in 100 lifetimes,” he said. “I will always cherish the memories, the wonderful campus, community and beautiful friends that I made during my time there.” He enjoyed the hostel facility, mess and evening walk with friends. Dhaval shared his experience that many times, the professors stayed till late at night to guide us in our projects… “I can’t forget those sleepless nights with maggie.” He has been awarded the Director General Award for his excellence in academics.”
Dhaval said his teachers imparted exposure where he had hands-on experience on different materials, market survey, expert sessions, exhibition and also provided a platform where each one can showcase their skills. “It helped me in my overall development and made me capable of focusing on my future goals. For this I am thankful to all my faculties for showing the right path at the right time.”
Dhaval believed that 3Es are very essential for overall development of the person: Education, Experience and Environment. “I am happy that GUNI has given me these 3Es to develop myself as a whole. The teachers were highly qualified and experienced to impart quality education through an experiential learning method and the environment was very conducive at the university.
Aristotle rightly said that "By dint of a building well, you get to be a good architect". GUNI ignited a spark in me to become a consummate architect. Dhaval paid attention to every minute detail in designing. During his time at university, Dhaval enjoyed clay modeling a lot. He won many painting and drawing competitions. His passion towards designing was accelerated.
Dhaval Vora works on various projects like residential, commercial, resorts and hospitality projects in Surat, Ahmedabad and Mehsana. I have two start-ups, firstly, in Surat and second in Ahmedabad.
Looking back on his time at university, Dhaval believes the course and work experience prepared him well for his future career.
