Dr. Nirbhay Kumar Chaubey (Ph.D Computer Science) is a Professor and the Dean of Computer Science at Ganpat University in Gujarat, India. Prior to joining Ganpat University, he worked as the Associate Dean of Computer Science at Gujarat Technological University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, at the Institute of Science & Technology for Advanced Studies & Research (ISTAR), Vallabh Vidyanagar, affiliated with the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat.  With over 26 years of experience, he is dedicated to academic, research, and administrative leadership, teaching regular postgraduate courses in Computer Science.  In 2014, he earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Gujarat University in India. During the year 2003-2004, Professor Chaubey was a project trainee at the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Additionally, he served as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at Gujarat Technological University (GTU) during the years 2011-2012.

 

Under his supervision and co-supervision, 8 Ph.D. students. 14 M.Tech students and 140 MCA Students have completed their degrees, while 4 Ph.D. research scholars are currently working on their research. Notably, one of his Ph.D. research scholars received the AWSAR Award in 2020 from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under his guidance. His research interests include Wireless Networks, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, Internet of Things (IoT),  Ad Hoc Networks, Sensor Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing. Dr. Chaubey has published a total of 81 research papers in reputed international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. He has also authored/edited 11 international text and reference books published by Springer and IGI Global, and has contributed to 12 patents, with 8 granted, along with one copyright that has been granted.  His published research works are highly cited by the global research community, demonstrating his exceptional research performance. He has a Google citation count of 910 and an H-index of 25. Dr. Chaubey has been very active in the technical community, serving on the editorial boards of various international conference proceedings and journals. He is also a program committee member for international conferences and an esteemed technical reviewer for reputable journals, including those published by IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and Wiley.

 

Prof. Chaubey is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Senior Member of ACM, and a Life Member of the Computer Society of India. He has been actively involved with the IEEE India Council and the IEEE Gujarat Section, serving in various volunteer positions. He has received numerous awards, including the IEEE Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2015 (IEEE Region 10 Asia Pacific), the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Pedagogical Innovation Award (PIA) in 2015, and the IEEE Outstanding Branch Counselor Award in 2010 (IEEE Region 10 Asia Pacific). His name has been placed in the MARQUIS Who’s Who in the World for the year 2010 Edition.
