Dr. Rakesh K. Patel is currently serving as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Ganpat University. As a leader in this role, Dr. Patel is responsible for overseeing academic affairs, student affairs, and development of new academic programs and other healthcare projects of the university.

Dr. Patel holds a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and has over 25 years of experience in the field of pharmacy education and research and University administration. He has started his academic career as lecturer and with his dedication and hard work, Dr. Patel climbed the ladder of success and growth in his career. He was promoted to the position of Professor and Principal of Ganpat University “Shree S. K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Science and Research”, and later became the Executive Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Science. As the Executive Dean, he had played a key role in achieving a milestone of ranking and ratings of the institutes and was instrumental in initiating several new programs and research projects.

Dr. Patel has published over 90 research papers in various national and international journals and has also presented his research work at several national and international conferences held at India, USA and Singapore. In 2018, Dr. Patel has been promoted as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Ganpat University and since then has been playing a key role in the development and growth of the University. Under his leadership, the University has seen significant progress in the areas of research, innovation, and academic excellence.

He is also involved in strategic planning and implementation, working closely with the university's leadership team to ensure that Ganpat University continues to provide high-quality education to its students. He is known for his innovative thinking and commitment to excellence, and he is widely recognized as a thought leader in the field of Pharmacy and Healthcare.

Dr. Patel is also actively involved in various professional bodies and organizations. He is a member of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Society of Pharmacognosy, to name a few.
