The West Zone Student Research Convention “Anveshan 2018” held at Ganpat University (GNU) Gujarat on 14-15 February 2018 was inundated with more than 214 student participants from 37 universities from the states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The inauguration ceremony commenced at 9.00 am in the auditorium of Ganpat University. The ceremony progressed with lamp lighting and prayer. The ceremonial dais was honored by the august presence of Dr. Haresh S. Bhatt (Mission Director, Information Security - Space Applications Centre, ISRO) as the chief guest. Ms. Anupama Rathore (Lead, Strategic Alliance, International Centre for Entrepreneurship Technology, Icreate) as the guest of honor. Shree Ganpatbhai Patel, Patron-in-Chief, Ganpat University, Dr. Mahendra Sharma, Director General, Ganpat University, Dr. Amit Patel, Registrar, Dr. Girish Patel Deputy Registrar, Ganpat University, Dr. Satyen Parikh, Dean-FCA, Ganpat University and West Zone Anveshan-2018 Coordinator, Dr. Amrendra Pani, Chief Convener & Deputy Director, AIU. The inaugural ceremonial addresses from the dignitaries on dais presented a plethora of informative ideas on research and innovations, significance, utility and social acceptance. Dr. Mahendra Sharma also warmly welcomed the participants and appreciated their efforts in his welcome address.
