Ganpat University celebrates 16th Convocation in the august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendrabhai Pate

A staggering 4178 students were awarded degrees amid 88 Gold Medal recipients and 28 Ph.Ds

Regarded among the best private universities of Gujarat and India and rated 5 stars by GSIRF, Govt. of Gujarat, Ganpat University celebrated its 16th Convocation ceremony on January 05, 2023 with utmost zeal and fervor. The ceremony was organized in keeping with strict safety norms and government guidelines of COVID. 

Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel and Shri Rushikeshbhai Patel, State Cabinet Minister for Health, Family Welfare, Medical Education, Higher and Technical Education, Law, Justice, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Other luminaries of the event included Padmabhushan Shri Swami Sachhidanand Maharaj (Dantaliwala) and Padmashree Savjibhai Dholakiya, the founder owner of Harikrishna Export Pvt. Ltd, a famous diamond company of Surat. Reiterating its policy of ‘Student First, Character Must’, Ganpat University invited its Distinguished Alumni Ms. Rajul Shah as a special guest on this occasion.  

Joining the dignitaries on the dais were the president of Ganpat university  Padmashree Dr. Ganpatbhai Patel, Pro Chancellor and Director General, Dr. Mahendra Sharma, Members of Board of Governors and Academic Council of the university, the Trustees, the Pro Vice Chancellor and Executive Registrar Dr. Amit Patel, the Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. R K. Patel, Jt. Registrar Dr. Girishbhai Patel, the Deputy ProVice Chancellors, and Executive Deans of various faculties. The event was aired live on YouTube, Facebook and other social media platforms.

A total of 4178 students covering 88 Gold Medalists and 28 Ph.D scholars were awarded degrees. From among these, 1219 were female candidates. The Convocation began with a procession that followed the norms of social distancing. It consisted of eminent leaders of the university, deans of various faculties, gold medalist students and research scholars. 

Dr. Mahendra Sharma, the Pro Chancellor and Director General of Ganpat University, cordially welcomed the guests, dignitaries and the students in his speech. He also mentioned the three out of the five main initiatives that Ganpat University is taking as a reflection to the 5 star rating that it has been bestowed upon for its performance.

Chief Guest of the ceremony and an endearing personality Shri Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, addressed the students and expressed his delight to interact with the young minds. Talking about the importance of learning, he said the knowledge that we get from the university education is our eternal wealth and the virtues and good habits that we cultivate from education enlighten the career. He also added that the convocation is a turning point in the life of a person. Talking about Ganpat University’s motto of “Vidyaya Samajotkarshha”, he said that when the country would celebrate the century of independence, you would be at the top of your career contributing significantly to the society and nation He then urged  the young students to live up to the motto of the university and work with one’s full might for the upliftment of the society .

Special Guest of the day and a successful diamond business man Padmashri Savjibhai Dholakiya chartered out for the youngster five important rules to enable them craft a successful career on this occasion. The core takeaways from his speech included affirmation such as: I am the best; I can do everything; God is always with me; I am the winner and Today is my new day. He assured the students that if you follow these golden rules in life honestly and work hard, you will surely succeed in your career.  

The President of Ganpat University, Padmashree Ganpatbhai Patel expressed his gratitude towards the luminaries for gracing the event.He also recounted the members of Board of Governance and other former Trustees for helping him lay the foundation of the university. He congratulated the students and said that during their journey of graduation, they not only studied their course but helped humanity in one way or the other through the crisis of Covid. Giving an example of our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, Ganpatbhai Patel said that if you want to be the leader, set an example in life. He stressed that hard work never fails and advised the students to follow their heart and never mind what others say. He also advised that keep the qualities of sensession, compassion and humanity at your heart and be a real “GUNI”

In his brief address, Special Guest of the function Padmabhushan Shri Swami Sachhidanandji emphasized on making a bright career in life. He also pointed out three important ‘Mantras’ to develop a bright career and life. Those included being punctual and truthful and following one’s Dharma.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rakesh Patel, the Pro Vice  Chancellor, Ganpat University.
