The Faculty of Computer Applications at Ganpat University proudly hosted its annual flagship event, 'Udaan,' on February 24, 2024. This year's Udaan was a unique amalgamation of celebration, and academic achievements, making it an unforgettable occasion for the entire university community.
The students celebrated this gala event with enthusiasm. The dignitaries inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp. The president and Patron-in-Chief of Ganpat University, Dr. Ganpatbhai I. Patel along with the first lady Shrimati Manjulaben Patel graced this event with their valuable presence. Dr. Satyen Parikh, Pro Vice Chancellor of Ganpat University & Executive Dean of, the Faculty of Computer Applications delivered a welcome address. Dr. Nirbhay Chaubey, Dean, Faculty of Computer Applications presented a progress report for the academic year 2023-2024. Shri. Indrajeet Mitra, Co-Founder, of The Gateway Corp, CEO-ADAP, G’Secure Labs, Gujrat was the chief guest of the program. Dr. Nilesh Modi, Director School of Information Technology from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University graced the event as a distinguished guest. He is also a GUNI alumnus from the MCA year 2003 batch. Prof. Daniel Montplaisir, Joint Director General of Ganpat University embellished this event with his esteemed presence. More than 1000 students witnessed this celebration. Renowned professional and industry expert, Shri. Indrajeet Mitra delivered an insightful speech offering students a glimpse into the latest trends and innovations in the field of computer applications. The speech aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing students with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills. Dr. Nilesh Modi also motivated students to pursue their careers in the IT field, He also emphasized research and publications in the field of cyber security, AI, ML, etc.
Dr. Ganpatbhai I. Patel of Ganpat University delivered the ceremonial address. He motivated students to participate in various events for their overall development. The annual function is the most awaited event as the meritorious students were awarded gold medals and trophies for their extraordinary performance throughout the year. This year 16 students were awarded Statement of Merit from the Department of Computer Science and 4 students from Acharya Motibhai Patel Institute of Computer Studies. More than 108 students were awarded trophies for their outstanding participation in sports and technical events. Dr. Meghna Patel, Associate Dean, Research, FCA concluded the event by delivering a vote of thanks. The Faculty of Computer Applications bid a poignant farewell to its graduating students through the Farewell event. This event marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of the graduating class and provided a platform to celebrate their accomplishments, share memories, and wish them success in their future endeavors. As the graduating students take flight into the professional world, the 'Udaan: Farewell' event serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative years spent at Ganpat University. The faculty and administration extend their best wishes to the graduating class for a successful and fulfilling future, confident that they will carry the values and lessons learned at the university into the next phase of their lives. This event served as a testament to the commitment of Ganpat University's Faculty of Computer Applications to nurturing holistic development and creating a platform that prepares students for success in both academic and professional spheres.
