Post-Harvest Handling of Horticulture Produce
Description
GUNI – K. K. Institute of Agricultural and Sciences & Research organized practical based training program on “Post-Harvest Handling of Horticulture Produce” during 24th December 2022. Practical based training program, conducted under eminent guest trainer and expert Dr. Alok Nath, Assistant Professor, College of Horticulture, SDAU, Jagudan. These training organized for 3rd and 1st semester student and total 39 student participant in this practical based training program.
Training objective:
1. Participants are knowledgeable on improved post-harvest management practices
2. Participants are aware about post-harvest handling practices
3. Participants’ are learning and practice of different horticulture products
According to objective, students itself prepared three different product (Aonla candy, Aonla RTS and Custard apple RTS) using Aonla and Custard apple under guidance of Dr. Alok Nath in Horticulture Lab. Training divided into two parts, in first session expert present PPT and give verbal knowledge about post-harvest technology and different product, then after in second session students itself three different product prepared and learning practical work.
