NSS Camp at Kamana - 2018
Description
The special camp is arranged for seven days after getting final approval and necessary funds for conducting the camp. In special camp, generally following activities have been carried out to promote the development of social skill and sense of social responsibilities among the learners. The NSS unit of AMPICS BCA department conducts special camp in nearby rural areas of Mehsana district with the consent of Ganpat University. In the beginning of academic year, the programme officer of NSS unit identifies camp area with initial survey and consultation with rural people and sarpanch of the village. Subsequently, the plan was designed and submitted to Ganpat University for final approval. NSS Unit of Acharya Motibhai Patel Institute of Computer Studies, Ganpat University, Kherva organized a seven day special camp in the adopted village – “Kamana” in Mehsana District from 13th December 2018 to 19th December 2018 under the guidance of Prof. Falguni Suthar. The number of students – volunteers participated in the camp was 40.
A part from learning how to save the community, the objectives of organizing the special camp was to develop the personality of the volunteers by inspiring in them quality like unity, honesty, co-operation, etc. to enable them to adjust and adopt to various situations to comprehend problems prevailing in the society and to make them aware of the various resources available to deal with the problems. NSS volunteers along with the Programme Officer Prof. Falguni Suthar reached the camp site on 13th December 2018 at 11:15 A.M.
Villagers welcomed to NSS cadets and Programme Officers. First of all Programme Officer Prof. Falguni Suthar have arranged the meeting with the Sarpanch and leaders of the village to discuss regarding our activities to be carried out during the camp. They were appreciated the plan of activities to be carried out. NSS cadets were settled down, take the lunch and held meeting for appointing a different team leaders with their thought the camp.
The volunteers followed a time table given by NSS Programme Officer thought the camp i.e.

- 07:30 A.M to 08:00 A.M. Breakfast
- 08:00 A.M. to 09:00 A.M. Volunteers discussed the project agenda and activities with Programme Officer Prof. Falguni Suthar

- 12:30 P.M. to 01:00 P.M. Lunch

- 03:00 P.M. to 04:00 P.M. Tea Break
- 04:00 P.M. to 06:00 P.M Preparation for completion/cultural program / cleanliness, etc
- 06:30 P.M. to 07:00 P.M. Worship goddess Ambe ma

- 08:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Cultural Program
