Ganpat University organized an event on “Harvesting Sustainability : Edible Bowls From Fruits and Vegetable Residues "on 13 October to 14 October 2023 from 3.00-4.00 PM. The Students of Ganpat University took part in the event and gathered at CHAS, Ganpat University. The event was organized by the Food and Nutrition Department with coordination of students of food and nutrition. Rita patel welcomed all students and gave a brief detail on the event. Our experts delivered knowledge regarding Harvesting Sustainability : Edible Bowls From Fruits and Vegetable Residues its aims to address food waste and plastic pollution by creating edible bowls from fruit and vegetable by-products.
The objectives include reducing food waste, promoting sustainable packaging alternatives to plastic, and developing processing techniques for making durable, safe edible bowls. The project will explore their application in food service and consumer markets, educate the public on sustainable food practices, and support a circular economy by repurposing food residues. Ultimately, it seeks to foster eco-conscious consumption and contribute to a more sustainable future.
The coordinators overseeing the initiative commended the students for their dedicated efforts, expressing their heartfelt gratitude. We were thankful that students enjoyed the event with healthy participation. This event will be helpful for students in the future.
