Half Day Seminar on Research Methodology: Sampling Technique
Description
Dr. Satyen Parikh, Executive Dean, Faculty of Computer Applications, Ganpat University welcomes resource person Dr. Savita Gandhi, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science, Rollwala Computer Centre, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India. There were 35 participants including Ph.D Students and Faculty Members attended the event. Dr. Savita Gandhi delivered a talk on “Sampling Methods and Importance of Research Methodology” followed by a wonderful interactive session where the participants interacted with the speakers clarifying their doubts and asking interesting questions. During the session she explained various sampling methods and its uses along with examples which helps to determine accuracy of research, survey result. Dr. Gandhi suggested carrying out successful research works and overcoming potential challenges.
The successful programme ended around 1 pm with Vote of Thanks by Dr. Nirbhay Chaubey, Dean, Computer Applciation, Ganpat University. The seminar was very informative for the Ph.D scholar and faculty members and provided the participants with enormous knowledge on various aspects of research methodology and sampling technique. Brief Biography of Speaker: Dr. Savita Gandhi has a reach teaching experience of more than 37 years. She has guided several Ph.D Students and Master Students. Principal Investigator of e-PG Pathshala, an initiative of the MHRD, UGC under its National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT), Project, Chandrayaan AO1 ISRO Project, Chairperson: Women Development Cell, Gujarat University. Her research interests include data mining, ad hoc network, security especially cryptography, and published several research papers in peered reviewed International Journals and Conferences. She was awarded Gold Medal in M.Sc. and several prizes at M.Sc. as well as B.Sc. Examinations for obtaining highest marks. Dr. Gandhi is a Senior Member of IEEE and has been actively associated with IEEE Gujarat Section and served IEEE in various volunteer positions
