“Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta – Swachhata Hi Seva” Swachhata Pakhwada 2023

Ganpat University organized a Mehsana Railway Station cleaning program as part of the “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta – Swachhata Hi Seva” -Swachhata Pakhwada campaign on October 1 st , 2023. At 9:00 AM, the spirited NSS volunteers reached at the Mehsana Railway Station, eager to make a meaningful impact. The event was meticulously organized, with different areas of junction designated for cleaning by Faculty of Agriculture and Allied Sciences-NSS units. At the stroke of 10:00 AM, the enthusiastic NSS volunteers from the Faculty of Agriculture and Allied Sciences-NSS units and Research took charge of areas near the main entrance and parking of Railway Station, where they embarked on their cleaning mission with unwavering unity and determination. This fervour continued unabated until 11:30 AM, as the volunteers diligently worked to restore cleanliness to these spaces. The coordinators overseeing the initiative commended the volunteers for their dedicated efforts, expressing their heartfelt gratitude. Beyond the immediate impact of this event, it served as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhis enduring principles and set a remarkable example for the wider community. It successfully instilled a sense of responsibility and commitment among community members and volunteers, compelling them to actively engage in the ongoing mission to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in their surroundings. The ripple effects of this event on the environment and the overall well- being of the community were evident, contributing to the larger Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative and fostering a deeper sense of civic responsibility among all involved.
