Biogenius-2023
Description
Mehsana Urban Institute of Science, Ganpat University, marked a significant occasion with the successful organization of an event titled "BioGenius." The event was held to celebrate International Microorganisms Day and was elevated to international recognition with affiliations from the renowned Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) and the Portuguese Society of Microbiology.
The event showcased a wide array of engaging activities, including a BioStartup Idea Competition, AgarArt, Bio-Modelling, Oral and Poster Presentations, Microbiomodel, and Art with Vegetables. These activities were designed to promote scientific curiosity, educate about microbial diversity, highlight their practical significance in fields such as medicine and agriculture, stimulate critical thinking, foster teamwork and creativity, develop presentation skills, inspire future scientists, celebrate microbial achievements, and build a vibrant community of students, educators, and scientists passionate about microbiology.
Dr. Mehul Dave, from the Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gandhinagar, delivered an enlightening lecture entitled "Unlocking the Hidden Universe: Exploring the Glory of Gut Microbiome." This lecture provided valuable insights into the world of microbiology and its significance in our daily lives.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished individuals, including Dr. Amit Parikh (Dean, Faculty of Science, Ganpat University), Dr. Ajaykumar Gupta (Director of Research, Ganpat University), Dr. Rajesh Bhosale (Dean, Research, Ganpat University), and Dr. Sucheta Karande
(Coordinator, Horizon Science Club, GUNI-MUIS). These individuals played a significant role in encouraging the students and fostering their interest in the field of microbiology.
Winners of the various competitions were recognized and awarded trophies and certificates during the prize distribution ceremony. All participants were honored with certificates for their active participation in the diverse events.
